mother:
Okay kids, what will we do at
the Grand Canyon today?
Liza:
Can't we just drive through it?
That's the safest way.
We stay on the road and in the car.
Harry:
Don't be ridiculous!
There is no highway through the Grand Canyon.
You know that. And sitting in a car is boring.
Let's do something adventurous.
mother: Look at this booklet I've got here.
It shows all kinds of things to do around here.
You can do a hiking trip
You can take a ride on a mule.
And you can even fly in a helicopter.
Harry: I'd like to ride a mule.
Why don't we all take the mule-ride?
Uncle Ben did the mule trip, once.
He said it was great.
I'll wear my cowboy hat.
Liza:
Yes, but uncle Ben can ride a horse.
We can't.
You'd better forget that idea.
You have to look out for rattlesnakes.
Otherwise the mule will begin to run.
mother:
How about the helicopter trip, kids?
Liza:
Yeah, great.
It sounds spectacular. But I suppose it will be expensive.
Harry:
A helicopter?
Oh no, please. Let's be careful.
mother:
Don't worry, Harry.
It will be safe.
I suggest we find out how much a helicopter trip costs.
If it's too much, we can always do a short hike
